Legacy of Bigotry

You know, the more I read the news, the more depressing it gets. I just don’t understand people at times, like take for instance this whole Tim Hardaway crapola. I mean the guy mouths off and really, doesn’t he wonder what his words will mean? Do any of these racists even think?

Words hurt, but they also incite people to do more than just yell and scream. It does create a sense of fear, and it does translate into violence. These idiots who spout off with their hatred just don’t get that. They seem that it doesn’t matter and so what is some fag gets his/her feelings hurt. What they forget is that some idiot will use it as an excuse to go gay bashing, (see story) or to trash some office that supports gay rights or gay issues (see story).

And yet the politicians don’t think there is a need to add gay bashing or hatred of gays to the Hate Crime Laws. I mean go figure, but then I suppose the real reason they don’t see it, is they support the hatred.
