In a Spanish Family Court, a Judge has ruled that a Lesbian needs to lie, to deceive her child, in order to keep custody of the child. He insists that the fact she is a Lesbian will do untold harm to her child, just as if she was a whore, a drug addict, or adulterer. He also lambasted the Spanish Government for allowing same sex marriage.
“It is understood that [a parent’s] drug addiction, child abuse, prostitution, belonging to a satanic sect or heterosexual affair would negatively affect the children and serve as a reason for a change of custody. Well, it’s the same with homosexuality,” EFE quoted him as saying.” (source)
One more victory for Herr Pope and his followers. With constant pressure being applied by these Zealots, it is a wonder that gays aren’t being hauled off to the town square for stoning. How absolute ludicrous it is, to assert in this day and age that someone can deny their natural feelings, urges. To assert that a person who is Gay can just switch, without any harm to them, or to the children, is absurd.
Children will now learn the true meaning of racism, of how you have to hide who you truly are, because some Judicial Buffoon is smitten by the mouthings of an old ex Nazi. It is sad to thing that these racist views, by the Pope and others, are actually believed, but then that is why I maintain that homophobia is nothing but a politically correct term to describe Racism.
With this kind of ruling, it will send a signal to children that being honest is not acceptable, and being true to yourself, is wrong. It does a lot more harm than any other abuse, as it attacks the individual’s value system, moral code. This is what this Spanish Judge has done with his ruling, not to mention how he has helped foster the misconception that Queers make for bad parents. Studies have proven him wrong, just as many bible phrases show that God is not really anti gay.
This Judge needs to take a siesta, and stay off the bench.
