Is Mike Huckabee about to be anointed as the New Standard Bearer for the Conservative Movement, that seemingly controls the Republican Party? Given his past record against Homosexuals, his stand on AIDS, it would seem he’d be a perfect match for the Racists of the Republican Conservative Movement. Far better choice than Flip Flop Romney.
“It is difficult to understand the public policy towards AIDS. It is the first time in the history of civilization in which the carriers of a genuine plague have not been isolated from the general population, and in which this deadly disease for which there is no cure is being treated as a civil rights issue instead of the true health crisis it represents.” (source)
In the past, Huckabee thought it was okay to ‘isolate‘ homosexuals, because AIDS is no different than the Plague. Course one was easily transmitted, while the other involves an exchange of bodily fluids or blood to blood contact. Too bad Mike Huckabee didn’t read all the reports when he made that statement, yet now he says that any administration of his will bend over backwards to deal with this issue.
“My administration will be the first to have an overarching strategy for dealing with HIV and AIDS here in the United States, with a partnership between the public and private sectors that will provide necessary financing and a realistic path toward our goals,” Huckabee said in a statement posted on his campaign Web site last month. Given his past statements, kind of makes you wonder just what kind of ISOLATION CAMP he will TURF HOMOSEXUALS INTO. No wonder he is becoming the darling of the Religious Right, and gaining ground on Mitt Romney. He speaks their language.
