The fight for equality will never end, because if it does, then equality will never be lasting. It is a constant struggle, and those who oppose it, such as the Catholic Church, the Mormons, the Republicans, do so because they are aware of what will happen if they don't keep fighting us. They will lose their power, they will lose their ability to control people and their money. Civil Rights, human liberties, exist because they are fought for, on a full time 24/7 basis. To get our rights, to keep our rights, we must continue the fight.

The results of a poll, saying that 47% believe being Gay is a choice made by homosexuals, shows how much that people do not use any common sense, in arriving at their conclussions. It is like these people believe someone would choose to be hated, to be ridiculed and object of discrimination. It is unbelievable how so many don't get it, that if they want to preserve their religious freedom, they need to grant all people access to all civil rights, and privleges.

The Uganda law, that will attempt to make Homosexuality illegal, under penalty of death, has gotten attention, but no action. World Leaders, even some religious one's, have called for Uganda to not pass it, but nothing else. Typical, but one has to wonder, which country will follow suit next? Evil triumphs, because good people do nothing, remember that saying?

How do we define ourselves, in a marriage ceremony? The heterosexuals have 'man & wife' but what do we have? It is a partnership, a union that is filled with more than just sex, but with romance, with caring, with feeling, so why should we be denied all of the benefits, by being noted as 'spouses'. That is so dry, so boring, and perhaps is one reason we just can't seem to get acceptance. We just don't have a snappy enough pair of titles, for those joined in marriage.

It is risky for those in Hollywood to support controversial topics, like same sex marriage and yet top artists, like Brad Pitt, and now Bruce Springsteen have done it. Makes one wonder why the political leadership who professes to support gay rights, is so silent on the subject. The Opposition sure isn't, and without any real leadership, it looks like hate is going to continue to win another round or two. Too bad that these so called leaders, have no real guts or inclination to doing what is right.
