Proposition 8 is winning, or so the Polls say and that is rather disconcerting. I do not understand why so many are willing to oppose equality for Homosexuals, or why they have such a fear of us. We are no different than them. We have our bigots, our idiots who are inconsiderate, who are criminals, who are deceitful, but we have a lot more who are kind, generous, and law abiding citizens. Many desire to openly serve their country, yet are denied that privilege. In many OTHER countries, people are FORCED TO SERVE, yet many Gays want to serve their country, yet somehow that is not taken into account.

I normally don’t put up links for people to donate money, but there has to be a place where we, as a community, draw a line, and say NO MORE HATE, NO MORE BIGOTRY.
Proposition 8 & Opposing Its Passage could be that line, that invisible barrier where we say NO TO THE BIGOTS. Opposing this hateful proposition is about PROTECTING TRUE RELIGIOUS FREEDOM. Unlike the supporters, many Gay’s believe people should be allowed to support whatever religion they like, not be forced to accept any narrow definition by a vocal minority.
Opposing Proposition 8 means that people can worship as they please, that Churches can determine whose marriage they will accept or not. While that is what the supporters claim, truth is, only by OPPOSING PROP 8 can that happen.
There is a case in the UK, where a Lesbian may be forced to be deported back to Iran, as another legal bid for Asylum failed. She is just one. as another case is also pending, involving a Gay teenager from Iran.
In turning down Ms Emambakhsh and Mr Kazemi’s asylum applications, the Home Office has said that, provided Iranians are discreet about their homosexuality, they will not be persecuted. But Omar Kuddus, of Gay Asylum UK, demanded that Britain follow the example of the Netherlands and Germany in imposing a moratorium on all deportations involving gay and lesbian Iranians. He asked: “How many more young Iranians have to die before the British Government takes action?” (source)
It makes one wonder what it is that our Politicians are smoking these days. I mean you have Spitzer in New York who made his name going after those who used Prostitutes, you have Larry Craig having a little foot play in a men’s washroom, after spending his entire career opposing Homosexuals, and you have an Iranian Leader who claims there are no Homosexuals in his Country, even though there has been mention of the execution of several over the last little while.
So what, the one’s killed weren’t homosexual, but killed anyhow?
It is what you would expect from Iran, or other countries who are attempting to enforce religious doctrine, through fear, through murder. To them, well it is their law, and tough shit to the rest of the world. I can’t change what they do, but when it is a Democratic Government, that supposedly supports FREEDOM, that aids and abetts such actions, then maybe it is time to look for a new Government.
Hate Gays or not, that is your choice, but I vehemently oppose anyone to tell me that denying equal rights to Gays is somehow democratic, somehow upholding the very principles that formed a nation, such as America.
While some will look at them, and say they should have applied for a VISA like anyone else, is just looking to aid the Racist Regimes. This isn’t about illegal immigration, this is about doing what it takes to stay alive. It is what millions did during the Hitler era, and Britain’s record then wasn’t that hot either. Maybe it is time for a rethink on one’s values, morals, and ethics?
Ten years ago a mother lost her son.
Tragic that any parent should have to lose a child before their time, but when that loss is due to bigotry, to hate, it is even worse. A life is snuffed out, not because of some perceived wrong, not because of some accident, but simply because they are Gay. What is worse than being killed because of being who you are? Being tortured and made to suffer before death grants you eternal peace.
Mathew Shepard was that son.
Hate Crime Legislation to this day, does not include protection of Homosexuals, because the so called man in the White House, and the so called Christian Men & Women of the United States Congress refuse to pass any such legislation. They holler about how their is no need for it, and then scream about how evil Homosexuals are, how vile, how anti God they are, further pushing people over the edge, furthering the wanton murder of innocent men and women who are simply different than they are.
A mother still cries for her loss, but she treks on. She talks to millions, meets with the famous like Elton John and even Hilary Clinton, a possible President. Yet still the legislation that bears her son’s name remains languishing in the halls of Congress, because no Elected Member has the balls, the guts, or the desire, to protect ALL AMERICANS. Because doing what is right, what is needed, isn’t what gets you elected to high office in America. Just ask Hilary Clinton, George Bush, and others.
Opponents of the hate-crimes proposal says it’s not needed because state and federal laws already outlaw violence against individuals.

The struggle goes on, and still the bigots hold sway. In some States, representatives stand up and speak about how the Gay Agenda, about the evils of being homosexual, and then spend their time denying Gays protection under the law. Many say it is simply because they really do believe the crap they spew, that Gays don’t need protection.
I disagree.
They deny the rights of Gays to be protected, in the hope that we will all succumb to the vile in society, who will do their dirty work for them. They hope that the longer they obstruct justice, that more Gays will be killed like Mathew Shepard, that there will be no Gay Voting Block to worry about, as there simply won’t be any Gays around to vote. They will either all be dead, or frightened back into the closet.
How wrong the George Bush’s & Hilary Clinton’s are. There will be no more Closets for us, nor can they exterminate us, without a fight. If Hitler taught people like Jews, like Homosexuals, anything, it was that walking into the gas chambers was never going to happen that easy again.
