Donny Osmond
He used to be a teen idol, I suppose, and now he is on Dancing With The Stars, on ABC.
Maybe it is harmless, but last night, he pretended to give Bruno (one of the judges) a kiss, and that is okay, and so too was his comment that because of it, they might let him back into Utah. An allusion to his Mormon upbringing, I assume.
Well tonight they showed an out take, after the kiss, where he told his partner, it was okay, he had his shots.
Frankly, that is HOMOPHOBIC, no matter how you want to slice it. And it begs the question too, why we, as homosexuals, allow such crap to go unchallenged. I mean really, racism is not funny, and yet many pass off such crude remarks, as just that – humor.
Maybe I am too senstive, or maybe it is that in the fight for equality, the Mormon Church has spend MILLIONS OPPOSING EQUAL RIGHTS FOR GAYS. Perhaps it is the INTERFERANCE OF THE MORMON CHURCH into what they have no business butting into, but it ticks me off, to hear such comments, on a public network.
I am Gay, and me kissing another man, IS NOT going to pass some hideous disease to them. And yet, that is what Donny Osmond implied, with his ‘got my shots’ remark.
