I find it interesting to see how the Media can project a winner, before even 1% of the Vote is tallied. Of course, they used the Exit Polls to make the call, and it obviously had to be a huge tilt for Obama to make them call it for him, but still, it kind of blunts the fun of it all.

I mean, I want to watch the numbers come in, see the totals rise up for one or the other, not turn the television on as the polls close, to find Obama is declared the winner. Course the big news is that Hilary Rodham Clinton has lost huge. The other big news is that Obama is also picking up the endorsement of John F. Kennedy’s daughter, Caroline in tomorrow’s New York paper.

I wonder, what is next in this crazy political season. I mean Monday is Bush’s State of the Union on Monday, then Super Tuesday Primaries. I can just see all the ads now, the endless commentaries from the so-called experts.

I need a Tylenol. 

I am confused.

In South Carolina, the Republican Primary was plagued with voting machine failures, where people used scraps of paper to cast their votes, and come this Saturday, the State will STILL USE THE SAME BROKEN MACHINES. Now I don’t know, this isn’t a new issue, about the electronic voting machines, so what is it about these machines that has so many states refusing to PROTECT THE VOTING PROCESS?

Okay, maybe I am spoiled because up here we use paper ballots and frankly it is easy. I spend more time waiting in line to vote, than in voting, and I know that by about 9pm my time, I know who won. So what the heck is the problem in the States? People can’t count? Worse I think, is that everything is at the last minute.  I mean California de-certified its machines, and now Colorado is switching to paper ballots for the 2008 election, to insure vote integrity.

So why isn’t South Carolina?
