Today Uganda, Next?
Talk is cheap, and you know, it is becoming cheaper by the minute, as really, no one outside the Gay Community give a damn about the Uganda bill, that is basically an attempt at State Sponsored Murder. It shows, that what drove Hitler in the 1930′s has found a new leader, in the Government of Uganda, with its proposed legislation to incarcerate anyone who is believed to be Queer, or worse, to snuff them out.
And as bad as that is, what is really worse is the hypocritical attitude of so called Western Leaders, like our Stephen Harper. This is the same buffoon who wanted to repeal the law that gives Gays the right to Civil Marriage. And why? Oh because it was against the natural order of things, as claimed by his religious beliefs. And he is lecturing the Uganda President?
At the Commonwealth summit in Trinidad and Tobago late last month, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said he pulled aside Museveni to deplore the bill.
“We find them inconsistent with, frankly, I think any reasonable understanding of human rights, and I was very clear on that with the president of Uganda,” Harper told reporters. ( source – CNN News )
While I am no fan of Mr. Harper, I do support President Obama, and yet, where is he? Where is Prime Minister Brown or for that matter MY QUEEN? How can they be so silent, or worse, do nothing buy pay lip service to how horrible this proposed legislation is.
I know, its not a popular decision, to come out in support of homosexual rights. I get that, I get that it is politically dangerous, but this isn’t about homosexuality, this is about a nation deliberately targetting a minority for murder, no different than Hitler did with the Jews during his reign. Surely that alone, is enough reason to oppose this type of action, which needs more than words.
40% of Uganda’s economy is from foreign aid, so let’s put the money where it counts. CUT THE BASTARDS OFF! I mean why do we have to think about it, not like we thought about it with Iran, or in battling Iraq? After all, is there any difference between them? We can quickly mount conferences to cut off all aid to Iran, can get nations to send troops to invade a sovereign nation, but lift a finger to help gays from prosecution?
GUESS NOT!
So who will be next, to jump on the bandwagon? I mean Pope Benedict rallied Italy to defeat it’s government, to be replaced by one that is now entangled in scandal after scandal, sexual too. And yet where is he on this? Isn’t murder against even his religios views? Or does it only count if they aren’t gay? Maybe Italy will be next to make Homsexuality punishable by death?
Poland tried, but that government got turfed, so who is next?
